These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Alex Schedules staff-scheduling service (the “Service”), operated by MEOT LLC (“Alex Schedules,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Alex Schedules provides tools to build and share staff schedules across one or more locations, manage availability and time-off, and notify staff. We may change, add, or remove features over time.
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be authorized to act on behalf of the business you register.
You may add information about your employees, including phone numbers, in order to schedule them and send messages. You represent and warrant that you have the right to provide this information and, where you enable texting, that you have obtained any consent required by law for your employees to receive schedule-related text messages from you through the Service. You are responsible for honoring opt-out requests, and the Service supports STOP-based opt-out. You will not use the Service to send marketing or unsolicited messages.
Alex Schedules (operated by MEOT LLC) sends recurring service text messages to staff who opt in, covering their work schedule — posted schedules, shift changes, time-off decisions, open shifts, invitations to join, and related account notifications. Message frequency varies by how often your schedule changes. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or email hello@alexschedules.com; reply STOP to cancel at any time and stop further messages to that number. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access data that is not yours, interfering with the Service, uploading unlawful content, or using it to violate any law or third-party rights.
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, per location per month) through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Pricing is subject to change. Introductory, founding, or promotional rates are offered for a limited time and may end or increase. We may change our fees, plans, and add-on pricing at any time; for existing paid subscriptions, a price change takes effect at your next renewal after we give reasonable advance notice (for example, by email or in-app). Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the new pricing; if you don’t, you may cancel before it applies.
If you register for or use the Service with a business or corporate email address (i.e., an email at your organization’s own domain rather than a generic consumer email provider), or you provide or display your organization’s name or logo within the Service, you grant MEOT LLC (operating as Alex Schedules) a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your business name, logo, and the fact that you are or were a customer to identify you in advertising and marketing — including on our website, in sales decks, and in other promotional materials. This license continues for as long as you use the Service and for twenty-four (24) months after your subscription or use of the Service ends. You may ask us to stop featuring you in new, forward-facing placements by emailing hello@alexschedules.com; we will honor reasonable requests for new placements, but materials already produced or published, and the retained rights described above during the 24-month period, may continue. This clause does not grant any rights to your confidential business information.
You also agree that we may use the email address you sign up with to send product updates and marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details on data and cookies.
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by MEOT LLC and protected by law. You retain ownership of the data you enter. You grant us the rights needed to host and process that data to provide the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that messages will always be delivered on time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alex Schedules and MEOT LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alex Schedules and MEOT LLC from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, including claims relating to messages you send or consent you were responsible for obtaining.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, communicated to you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
