These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Alex Schedules staff-scheduling service (the “Service”), operated by MEOT LLC (“Alex Schedules,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Alex Schedules provides tools to build and share staff schedules across one or more locations, manage availability and time-off, and notify staff. We may change, add, or remove features over time.
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be authorized to act on behalf of the business you register.
You may add information about your employees, including phone numbers, in order to schedule them and send messages. You represent and warrant that you have the right to provide this information and, where you enable texting, that you have obtained any consent required by law for your employees to receive schedule-related text messages from you through the Service. You are responsible for honoring opt-out requests, and the Service supports STOP-based opt-out. You will not use the Service to send marketing or unsolicited messages.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access data that is not yours, interfering with the Service, uploading unlawful content, or using it to violate any law or third-party rights.
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, per location per month) through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
If you register for or use the Service with a business or corporate email address (i.e., an email at your organization’s own domain rather than a generic consumer email provider), you grant Alex Schedules a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use your business name and logo to identify you as a customer of the Service on our website, decks, and marketing materials. You may opt out of this use at any time by emailing hello@alexschedules.com, and we will remove your name and logo from forward-facing materials within a reasonable period. This clause does not grant any rights to your confidential business information.
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by MEOT LLC and protected by law. You retain ownership of the data you enter. You grant us the rights needed to host and process that data to provide the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that messages will always be delivered on time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alex Schedules and MEOT LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alex Schedules and MEOT LLC from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, including claims relating to messages you send or consent you were responsible for obtaining.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, communicated to you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
