Alex Schedules is operated by MEOT LLC (“Alex Schedules,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a New York limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our staff-scheduling service (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
Account information. When an operator creates an account, we collect their name, email address, password (stored hashed), and restaurant details such as business name and locations.
Staff information you provide. To build schedules, an operator adds information about their employees: names, phone numbers, email addresses, roles, home and secondary store, availability, time-off requests, shift assignments, and optional private operator notes. Operators are responsible for the staff data they enter (see Terms).
Text-message data. If you use our texting features, we process phone numbers and message content to deliver schedule notifications and to record consent and opt-out status.
Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited billing details (such as the last four digits and subscription status) from Stripe.
Technical data. We automatically collect log data, device and browser information, and use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in.
We use information to provide and operate the Service; create and manage schedules; send schedule and request notifications (including SMS where enabled); process payments; provide support; maintain security; comply with law; and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
Where texting is enabled, staff and operators may receive service messages such as posted schedules, shift changes, and time-off approvals. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for help. Opting out stops schedule texts to that number. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not share phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under confidentiality obligations: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Stripe (payments). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a merger or sale of assets.
For employee data entered by an operator, the operator’s business is the controller of that data and Alex Schedules acts as a processor on the operator’s behalf. Staff who have questions about their information should contact their employer. We will assist operators in responding to such requests.
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, database row-level security to isolate each restaurant’s data, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
You may access, correct, or delete your account information from within the app or by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us to exercise them.
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you.
